Diving into Art
Bridgehampton, NY
SESSION I, JULY 13-17 • SESSION II, JULY 20-24
Monday - Friday, 9 - 2:50 pm
"Diving Into Art" is a summer art camp and class experience that takes place in the the heart of Bridgehampton. From very beginners to experienced artists, all are welcome! All students have the unique opportunity to collaborate with professional artists, unlocking their artistic potential while mastering the fundamentals of drawing and painting, including both watercolor and acrylic techniques.
We have two goals for every student.
We want every student to rise 10 notches higher in terms of their inspiration and technique, and also have a whole lot of fun along the way! Our aim is to take that unique spark of curiosity every artist has and create experiences for it to flourish.
Throughout the week, students are guided by accomplished artists and teachers who teach not only technique but also encourage personal expression, allowing each student to find his or her own unique artistic voice.
In addition to drawing and painting projects and our afternoon Artist Study program (students choose one master artist to study: Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, Georgia O’Keefe, and others), our students will also have the opportunity to explore additional art forms such as photography, animation, fabric arts (weaving, knitting, sewing) and more in the afternoons, broadening their artistic horizons and fostering creativity.
On Friday at the end of the week, students’ work is displayed at our Works in Progress Art Exhibit which provides a platform for students to proudly display their artwork, showcasing all of their progress made during the week.

Animation Projects
From 1-1:45, we dive into early afternoon electives. Students last year chose between the Animation Project (learning the techniques used in Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs), and the Artist Study Project (Learning the techniques of Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, Georgia O’Keefe). Electives are chosen each year that reflect students’ interests and the teachers’ expertise.
